German-Iranian DJ and producer Namito is commemorating three decades of music production (1996–2026), a career that has influenced electronic music while introducing Persian culture to audiences on dance floors worldwide.
Since his first productions debuted in 1996, Namito has amassed a collection of over 400 tracks, performed across more than 50 countries, and issued music on prestigious imprints such as Kompakt, Yoshitoshi, Bedrock, Systematic, Sol Selectas, and his own label, Übersee Music.
Major career milestones include the club anthem “Viva Colombia” (2002), created with Chris Zippel under the alias namTRAK, the Beatport number-one “City of Gods” (2008), and “Stone Flower” (2019)—all of which have become lasting favorites for DJs and electronic music enthusiasts globally.
In recent years, Namito has concentrated on updating traditional Iranian music by merging Persian vocals, melodies, and cultural elements with modern electronic production. This approach has yielded a unique sound that deeply connects with the Iranian diaspora while sharing Persian musical heritage with a global audience.

To honor this achievement, Namito will release anniversary content throughout the year, featuring special music drops, retrospective highlights, and new creative ventures that celebrate his past while looking ahead. The initial release is a remix of the 2002 global hit “Viva Colombia,” scheduled for August 21 on Ubersee Music.
Born in Tehran and a Berlin resident since 1985, Namito has been DJing since 1989 and producing music since 1996. Three decades into his production journey, he continues to connect cultures through sound, demonstrating that electronic music can cross boundaries while maintaining cultural identity.
