In “Tehran,” Delara reflects on her memories of home while imagining a future of freedom and hope for Iran.
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Iranian-American singer-songwriter Delara breathes life into memories of home with her newest single, “Tehran,” a deeply personal track fueled by nostalgia, late-night car rides, and the sense of belonging to a place regardless of distance.
Hailing from Tehran before relocating to the United States, Delara crafted the song around a familiar sentiment: imagining herself back home, driving through the city at night, listening to music, unwinding, and revisiting the people and places that left a mark on her.
“When I made ‘Tehran,’ I pictured myself driving around the city at night, having fun and reminiscing about memories from back home. I wanted the song to capture that feeling of missing somewhere while still being able to close your eyes and feel like you’re there again,” says Delara.
At its core, “Tehran” explores the enduring bond individuals maintain with their homeland. It encapsulates the small moments that grow significant over time — familiar streets, nights with friends, music in the car, laughter, family, and memories that can instantly sweep you back to a different era of life. That feeling resonates deeply with Delara. After leaving Iran in her youth, she was raised in Orlando, Florida, before moving to Los Angeles at 20 to chase a career in entertainment. Though her path has taken her thousands of miles from her origins, Tehran remains central to her identity and artistic viewpoint.
Delara’s official music career kicked off with her first single, “Pishe To,” in November 2024, and she has since explored varied sounds and styles with each new track. “Tehran” reveals another facet of that artistic journey, allowing her Persian heritage and American life to coexist seamlessly on the same record.
Above all, “Tehran” serves as a love letter to home — to the memories that remain, the places that mold us, and the sensation of forever carrying a piece of our origins wherever life leads.
“Tehran” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
