Grammy-winning artist ALYA is taking listeners on a journey backward in time with her latest release, “DREAMING,” a track that explores the innocence of romantic imagination before heartbreak ever entered the picture. The new single serves as a direct prequel to her recent hit “BELIEVER,” offering fans a deeper look into the emotional timeline that shapes her forthcoming album, In The Moment.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — While “BELIEVER” documented the moment ALYA rediscovered her capacity to trust in love, “DREAMING” rewinds the narrative to the very origins of that belief—a time when love existed purely in the realm of childhood fantasy.
Now available everywhere, “DREAMING” arrives as the chronological predecessor to ALYA’s recent single and offers another window into In The Moment, an album designed as an interconnected musical memoir tracing her path toward love. Instead of advancing the storyline, ALYA is unfolding it in reverse order—this time spotlighting the young girl who romanticized love long before she ever experienced its reality.

“I was always a dreamer of romance, although it wasn’t nourished or encouraged in my culture,” ALYA explains.
Growing up in Eastern Europe, ALYA found herself conjuring the small, almost cinematic details of romance: the sensation of holding hands, the weight of a shared glance, the joy of laughing together, and the kind of connection she doubted would ever materialize in her own life. Those private fantasies eventually became the emotional core of “DREAMING.”
Sonically, the track blends pop with touches of R&B and soul, pairing ALYA’s silky lead vocals with an effortless, infectious groove and layered backing harmonies delivered by ALYA alongside co-producer Yeezo.
The rhythmic foundation of the song took shape in an unexpected place: home.
ALYA initially developed the musical concept while experimenting with instruments in her personal studio, recording her creation and sending it to producer Tim Carmon to help flesh it out. What started as an intuitive home-studio moment evolved into a complete band arrangement driven by rhythm, a relaxed groove, and a sense of fluid movement.
“This song and the forthcoming album all came so effortlessly in terms of writing because most of it came from the diary of my mind,” ALYA shares.
Produced by Tim Carmon with co-production from Yeezo, “DREAMING” assembles a cast of accomplished musicians: Mateo Laboriel on drums and acoustic guitar, Errol Cooney on electric guitar, Courtney Leonard on bass, and Carmon handling keys and additional instrumentation. Dexter Simmons mixed the track, with mastering by Dave Collins.

Where “BELIEVER” grew from heartbreak and the surprising resurgence of hope, “DREAMING” exists in the space before any of that—within anticipation, imagination, and the sheer possibility of what love might one day become. Together, the two tracks begin to reveal the non-linear storytelling that defines In The Moment: a record that gazes backward even as it presses forward.
The release also extends the artistic universe ALYA has been cultivating around emotionally resonant, cinematic pop. The Grammy-winning performer has amassed more than 50 million views across social platforms, while collaborations with artists such as Eric Clapton, Erica Campbell, and D Smoke have carried her across pop, gospel, and soul territories.
With “DREAMING,” however, the scope becomes deliberately personal. Before the heartbreak, before becoming a believer once more, and before the story evolved into an album, there was simply a girl dreaming about what love could look like. Now, ALYA is inviting listeners to meet her in that moment.
