There’s a moment in any artist’s career when a place stops being just a backdrop and becomes the star of the show. For actor and recording artist Max Ehrich, Miami is that star. The four-time Daytime Emmy-nominated performer has released “Magic City,” the title track from his new three-song EP, and it’s clear this city has left a mark on him.

It’s a celebration of healing, friendship, freedom, faith, and rediscovering the magic of being alive.”— Max Ehrich

The EP arrives through Bungalo Music and Film and Universal Music Group, marking another step in Ehrich’s expanding artistic identity. Best known for his roles on CBS’s Under the Dome, The Young and the Restless, and The Bay, Ehrich brings the same storytelling instincts that served him on screen into his music, blending infectious rhythms with heartfelt inspiration and a cinematic visual experience.

Miami’s unmistakable nightlife, culture, romance, and creative energy are the driving forces behind “Magic City,” a track that serves as a musical tribute to a city that has played a meaningful role in Ehrich’s artistic journey.

“Creating this EP has been one of the most transformative, fulfilling, and deeply personal experiences of my life,” Ehrich shares. “It’s a celebration of healing, friendship, freedom, faith, and rediscovering the magic of being alive.”

The Inspiration Behind ‘Magic City’

For Ehrich, Miami is more than just a vacation spot—it’s a wellspring of inspiration. Its colorful atmosphere, vibrant music scene, and sense of possibility directly influenced the title track. Bryan Torres introduced Ehrich to collaborators Randy Echevarria, Marcus Brian Smith, and Lea Louisa, who joined him in writing the song. The track was mixed and mastered by Grammy-winning producers Harry Zelnick and Max Zeezy, whose credits include work with Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Ludacris, Mario, and Miguel. Their work gives “Magic City” a contemporary production with an energetic, celebratory sound designed to capture the excitement of Miami.

A Cinematic Celebration of Miami

To bring the song to life visually, Ehrich filmed the accompanying music video across several Miami locations, highlighting the city’s vibrant style, romantic atmosphere, and distinctive personality. Model Luana Larkin stars opposite Ehrich, while Jose “Soto” Soto directed and filmed the video alongside Santiago Davalos. Vivi Salvado of All In Studios supported the creative vision behind the colorful, cinematic experience.

“I wanted the video to feel like a celebration of life,” Ehrich explains. The finished visual reflects the song’s central message: embracing adventure, connection, and the moments that make life unforgettable.

A New Musical Chapter

With “Magic City,” Ehrich continues building his career as a recording artist while bringing the performance skills and storytelling experience from his acting career into his music. Paul Ring, head of Bungalo Music and Film, has expressed enthusiasm for Ehrich’s musical artistry and his versatility across acting, modeling, and music.

“Magic City” is available now on all platforms.

Why it matters: Ehrich’s pivot from daytime television to music isn’t just a side project—it’s a serious artistic expansion backed by Grammy-winning producers and major label distribution. His ability to weave personal healing into a commercial pop track suggests a new kind of crossover artist who refuses to be boxed into one medium.
