The St. Louis performer tops the October 17 entertainment lineup at the Hermann winery during its Oktoberfest festivities.
HERMANN, MO, UNITED STATES, October 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Steve Ewing Band is set to take the stage at Adam Puchta Winery on Saturday, October 17, as part of the venue’s Hermann Oktoberfest-weekend schedule. Their set runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the property located at 1947 Frene Creek Road.
The day’s festivities, which begin at 10 a.m. and wrap up at 6 p.m., kick off with Blake Gardner performing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. According to Adam Puchta Winery’s events calendar, this date marks the third Oktoberfest weekend, with a $10 Saturday grounds fee that covers six wine tastings plus a souvenir winery glass to be collected on a future visit.
Ewing, a St. Louis native, is widely recognized as the frontman for The Urge. His official bio notes the group formed in the late 1980s as a seven-member act blending reggae, hip hop, ska, and punk. After issuing four independent releases, The Urge landed a deal with Immortal/Epic and put out three more albums. The band also shared tours with acts such as Korn, Incubus, and 311.
Beyond his work with The Urge, Ewing also fronts the Steve Ewing Band, the Steve Ewing Duo, and Master Blaster. His upcoming appearance brings this current project to Hermann for the town’s annual Oktoberfest celebration.
The October event ties into a deep local heritage of wine festivals. The Hermann Wine Trail notes the city’s first Weinfest took place in autumn 1848, a custom that carries forward into the present-day Oktoberfest observances. That legacy stands apart from the modern festival, yet it frames the October 17 concert within a backdrop of wine, music, and communal traditions spanning generations. “Having Steve Ewing and his band perform here is a true standout moment for this Oktoberfest season,” said Parker Puchta, seventh-generation owner of Adam Puchta Winery. “He’s one of St. Louis’ most iconic voices, and hearing the Steve Ewing Band set against our autumn vineyard views is exactly the atmosphere we aim to offer our visitors.”
Saturday’s schedule will feature wine, wine slushies, beer, and bites from the 1855 Cellar Bistro. Adam Puchta Winery operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays; the latest event updates can be found on the winery’s website.
