There are albums born from joy, and there are albums forged in struggle. Ajeet’s new record Slánú belongs firmly to the latter — a three-year labor shaped by surgery, solitude, and the Irish landscape that raised her. It arrives just as the Irish-American artist prepares to step onto one of the biggest stages on Earth: Oprah Winfrey’s AHA at Sphere in Las Vegas, April 2–4, 2027.

Created over three years in Ireland, the deeply personal album explores healing and resilience, accompanied by a new music video.

This song is friendship taking form. It's the voice of someone who loves you reminding you that you already have all the answers.”— Ajeet

Irish-American musician, songwriter and producer Ajeet releases her new album, Slánú, today, October 9, via Spirit Voyage Records. The release arrives ahead of a major milestone in her international career: Ajeet will join Oprah Winfrey as a featured artist in Oprah Winfrey's AHA at Sphere in Las Vegas, April 2–4, 2027.

What began as a quiet, homegrown project on Ireland’s west coast transformed into something far more personal than Ajeet could have anticipated. Over the course of three years, she underwent three major surgeries for severe endometriosis while simultaneously reconnecting with the landscape, language, and community of her early life — a process that bled directly into the album’s emotional core.

Slánú, an Irish word tied to healing, recovery, and completion, took on resonance Ajeet never planned for. She had long watched audiences turn to her music for comfort and reflection; during the making of this record, she found herself needing that same refuge.

The album moves fluidly between intimate songwriting, acoustic tradition, and immersive sound — a soundscape shaped by both isolation and collaboration. Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni and Irish harpist Aisling Urwin appear on “Dreaming,” while “Para Sanar,” a Spanish-language duet with Barcelona’s Alex Serra, was co-written by Ajeet and Serra. These partnerships underscore the album’s reach across cultures, languages, and musical lineages.

Ajeet produced and mixed Slánú and performs vocals, guitar, piano, percussion and bouzouki across the album.

A New Music Video: “only you know where peace is”

Alongside the album comes a music video for “only you know where peace is,” a track Ajeet wrote in a single day for a friend navigating heartbreak. It’s an intimate meditation on friendship and the quiet power of being loved — a reminder that the people who care for us can help us find courage, trust ourselves, and recognize the wisdom we already hold.

“This song is friendship taking form,” Ajeet shares. “It's the voice of someone who loves you reminding you that you already have all the answers.”

From Ireland to Sphere

In April 2027, Ajeet will appear in Oprah Winfrey's AHA, an immersive production at Sphere in Las Vegas bringing together music, storytelling, art and technology.

From an album created quietly at home on the Irish coast to an appearance on one of the world's most ambitious stages, Slánú marks a new chapter for an independent artist whose music has built an international audience across traditional genre boundaries.

Slánú is available worldwide now via Spirit Voyage Records.

Ajeet – Only You Know Where Peace Is (Official Music Video)

Why it matters: Slánú isn’t just another release — it’s proof that personal hardship can fuel an artist’s most resonant work. Ajeet’s leap from a home studio in Ireland to the Las Vegas Sphere stage signals how independent musicians can build global audiences without compromising their creative roots, and her story of recovery through music offers a powerful reminder of art’s capacity to heal both creator and listener alike.
