The intersection of personal hardship and artistic breakthrough rarely produces something as quietly powerful as what Ajeet has just delivered. The Irish-American songwriter’s new record, Slánú, arrives not just as a collection of songs, but as a document of survival — and it lands just weeks before she shares a stage with Oprah Winfrey in Las Vegas.
Created over three years in Ireland, Slánú explores healing, resilience and connection, accompanied by a new music video for “only you know where peace is.”
This song is friendship taking form. It's the voice of someone who loves you reminding you that you already have all the answers.”— Ajeet

What began as a professional project soon became a lifeline. Created over three years from Ajeet's home studio on the west coast of Ireland, Slánú grew from a period of profound change. During the making of the album, Ajeet underwent three major surgeries for severe endometriosis while reconnecting with the landscape, language and community that shaped her early life.
The title itself carries weight. Slánú is an Irish word connected with healing, recovery and completion — themes that took on deeply personal meaning as the album evolved. Music that Ajeet had spent years watching listeners turn to for comfort, reflection and healing became a refuge for her as well.
Sonically, the record moves between intimate songwriting, acoustic tradition and immersive sound, shaped by both solitude and collaboration. “Dreaming” features Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni and Irish harpist Aisling Urwin, while “Para Sanar,” a Spanish-language collaboration with Barcelona-based artist Alex Serra, was co-written by Ajeet and Serra. Together, the collaborations reflect the album's movement across cultures, languages and musical traditions.
Ajeet produced and mixed Slánú and performs vocals, guitar, piano, percussion and bouzouki across the album — a solo effort that underscores the personal nature of the work.
A New Music Video: “only you know where peace is”
Accompanying the album's release is a new music video for “only you know where peace is,” a song Ajeet wrote in a single day for a dear friend experiencing heartbreak. An intimate reflection on friendship and the quiet strength of being loved, the song celebrates the relationships that help us find courage, trust ourselves and recognize the answers we already carry within us.
“This song is friendship taking form,” Ajeet shares. “It's the voice of someone who loves you reminding you that you already have all the answers.”
From Ireland to Sphere
The release comes ahead of one of the most significant performances of Ajeet's career. On April 2–4, 2027, she will join Oprah Winfrey as a featured artist in Oprah Winfrey's AHA at Sphere in Las Vegas, an immersive production bringing together music, storytelling, art and technology.
From an album created quietly at home on the Irish coast to an appearance on one of the world's most ambitious stages, Slánú marks a new chapter for an independent artist whose music has built an international audience across traditional genre boundaries.
Slánú is available worldwide now via Spirit Voyage Records.

Ajeet – Only You Know Where Peace Is (Official Music Video)
Why it matters: Ajeet’s journey from a period of intense physical recovery to a headlining slot at Sphere alongside Oprah Winfrey underscores how deeply personal art can resonate on a global stage. For an independent artist, this leap from a home studio on the Irish coast to one of the most technologically advanced venues on Earth signals a shift in what’s possible for genre-defying musicians — and offers a testament to the power of turning pain into connection.
