“It’s one of the highlights of my life so far”— Alex MillerNASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, July 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Alex Miller, accompanied by his band The Kentucky Kowboys, made his first international appearance last weekend at the highly regarded Norsk Countrytreff Festival in Breim, Norway. The four-day event drew over 29,000 Country music enthusiasts, featuring a packed dance floor and lively audiences. “People were lined up all along the front of the stage,” Alex observes. “Those folks love Country music, and I was amazed by their reaction.” Miller and his band performed a mix of original songs from his latest CD, MORE COUNTRY THAN YOU (Billy Jam Records), alongside Country classics spanning multiple decades. “This is definitely one of the biggest highlights of my life,” Alex stated. “I would love to return and see more of the country.”
The festival, booked by Judy Seale International, Inc., also featured American performers Joshua Ray Walker, Alana Springsteen, and Frankie Ballard. Beyond Alex’s full-band performance at Norsk Countrytreff, Miller and his guitarist Andrew Lambie energized the historic Breim Church, constructed in 1886. “The church was absolutely incredible,” Alex recalls. “It’s gorgeous, and the acoustics were phenomenal. It was truly an emotional experience for us.” They performed his original song “My Daddy’s Dad,” as well as the Hank Williams, Sr. Gospel tune “I’m Gonna Sing,” which he recorded with the Oak Ridge Boys.
Miller made the most of his first trip overseas, taking time to sightsee with band members Andrew Lambie (Electric Guitar), Austin Clark (Drums, Percussion), Brian Zonn (Bass), and Alden Oldfield (Steel Guitar). The group visited the Holvik Fossen waterfall, admired glacier views, drank crystal-clear water from mountain streams, and even jumped into a 35-degree glacial lake. “It took a bit of liquid courage—and wow, that water was freezing—but I couldn’t pass up the chance to say, ‘I’ve done that’… not everyone took the plunge.”
Reflecting on the “beautiful differences” he encountered, Miller mentioned the 24-hour daylight, the cool climate, and of course, the cuisine. “Everything tastes better there,” Alex raved. “Even McDonald’s® is better and different. They have a full menu—you could order a steak at MacD’s!” Staying true to his adventurous spirit and love of food, Miller sampled moose, whale burger, and reindeer jerky. “And the bread there is unbelievable,” he says. “It’s like a whole different country over there,” he exclaims with zero irony and boundless enthusiasm. “I loved every bit of it.”
Now that he’s back in the United States, Miller has returned to his usual joyful routine. He’s writing new songs and preparing for select concert dates, which include:
