The “Wild West rock” band from Arizona will release the standalone track on September 18, following studio sessions with producer Brian Howes.

That same date, the Arizona group will headline the Thunder Valley Rally in Cottonwood. The track was written and recorded during Vancouver Island sessions with songwriter and producer Brian Howes, and it arrives as a separate release from the band’s upcoming High Noon album.
This announcement is the latest in a packed stretch for Christopher Shayne. The group kicked off the High Noon era in October 2025 with its first album-related release, which was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Shooter Jennings. The title track followed in April 2026, sharpening the blend of Southern rock, outlaw country, and blues that defines the band.
In June, the band dropped “Coming Around,” an Americana-tinged song rooted in country traditions. Its music video features actors Tyler Nolan and Avary Anderson in a small-town setting, pairing the track with a cinematic visual story built around open roads, local landmarks, and rural American character.
The upcoming single grew out of a separate writing and recording experience with Howes, a Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter known for work with artists such as Hinder and Skillet. Although the song shares the direct, guitar-driven feel of Christopher Shayne’s recent material, it will not appear on High Noon. Its independent release gives the band room to explore another side of the sound it calls “Wild West rock.”

Christopher Shayne has performed at NASCAR events, Country Thunder, motorcycle rallies, and Professional Bull Riders events, and shared stages with artists including ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Dwight Yoakam, Blackberry Smoke, Cody Jinks, Fuel, and Shooter Jennings. Shows across the American Southwest and in Europe have also influenced the band’s songwriting and live production.
Rather than confining itself to a single genre, Christopher Shayne draws on country storytelling, blues phrasing, and the weight of hard-rock guitar. The result reflects the landscape around the band: expansive, rough-edged, and deeply tied to Arizona. That combination runs through the recent singles, allowing each release to take a different direction.
The September release will coincide with Christopher Shayne’s headlining slot at the Thunder Valley Rally in Cottonwood. The band is scheduled to perform from 8:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, September 18, closing the rally’s opening day of live music.
