Crowd Archive unites every photo captured at an event from every device — in real time.

When I attend a concert, I’m certain someone captured a better shot than mine. And as a runner, I’m aware that the finest images of me tackling my toughest challenge are sitting on a stranger’s device. Crowd-sourced photos from the race would be incredible.”— RJ Wafer, CEOBROOKLYN, NY, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The most authentic documentation of any occasion—a concert, a wedding, a season, a race—is dispersed throughout the phones of those in attendance. The majority of it vanishes into thin air: lost with a device, erased to free up space, or simply misplaced and forgotten over time.

Crowd Archive, now live, was created to collect these moments from the public, authenticated by the time and location each file was captured, and provided in full quality into an archive and collection stored in the owner’s personal cloud storage. Crowd Archive has streamlined the process of finding and sharing photos and videos, eliminating the hassle of searching through your camera roll and figuring out how to transfer them.
Files are matched by their capture time and location, ensuring every upload is verified. From day one, Crowd Archive can access data going back to the beginning of the smartphone era—a digital excavation, so to speak.

Crowd Archive establishes a digital archive in Google Drive along with a photo library within Google Photos. Additional custom integrations are planned for the future. Galleries are categorized by event and arranged in chronological order. A band could upload an entire touring history, share the link with fans, and receive a detailed, show-by-show chronicle of their entire career.

Crowd Archive operates on community participation. An archive owner shares a single link; anyone present can log in and add their files. Every submission is authenticated and genuine, although contributors have the option to remain unnamed to the archive’s owner. Original files retain their full quality throughout, guaranteeing the validity of each contribution alongside the careful organization of the galleries, while also leaving room for future product developments.

Crowd Archive aims to promote the preservation of complete records of our time on Earth, fostering wider communities and celebrating the historical significance of what unites us. Crowd Archive serves as a bridge to build your archives and collections for those special occasions. You retain the images; we never do. Crowd Archive never stores or asserts any ownership over your photos.

RJ Wafer, the creator of Crowd Archive, a passionate live music photographer and videographer, and a notably slow runner (finishing 2 marathons), developed the platform to support the communities he belongs to:

"When I’m at a concert, I know someone else captured a better shot than I did. And as a runner, I realize the greatest photos of me accomplishing the hardest challenge I’ve undertaken are on a stranger’s phone somewhere. A collection of spectator photos from the marathon would be amazing." — RJ Wafer, founder, Crowd Archive

Crowd Archive serves event planners for music (concerts, tours, festivals, entire careers), weddings (wedding coordinators can profit from past events by gathering guest photos by tapping into 15 years of couples), and sports (every match, from youth leagues to professional, from every viewpoint) with growing options for pre-loaded races for running groups to consolidate their accomplishments across major events. Naturally, Crowd Archive is also ideal for reunions, conferences, and any gathering with a crowd.

Crowd Archive is free to begin, requiring no subscription; one-time contribution packages start at $9.99, and larger events can reach out to hello@crowdarchive.com for bespoke pricing. We are now available online at crowdarchive.com, and the iOS app is in open beta, with invites accessible on the homepage.

Every archive and gallery created this way becomes an endless time capsule driven by the community—a means for our current moment to connect with the future through those who were present.
