For close to three decades, Menzel has motivated audiences worldwide with remarkable performances on Broadway, in movies, television, and music. To countless young people, she is most recognized as the voice of Queen Elsa in Disney’s Frozen series, whose song “Let It Go” has become one of the most iconic and uplifting anthems of a generation. Her pioneering work as the original Elphaba in Wicked has similarly inspired numerous aspiring performers to embrace authenticity, perseverance, and self-belief.
Beyond the stage and screen, Menzel has committed herself to supporting young people through arts education and guidance. As a co-founder of the A BroaderWay Foundation, she has helped give youth the opportunity to discover confidence, creativity, and their own voices via the performing arts. Earlier this year, the organization broadened its reach through a joint youth effort that collected over $1 million for arts-based programs aimed at foster youth.

The Young Artist Academy™ celebrates outstanding achievements by young performers in film, television, streaming, theater, music, and digital media, while also honoring distinguished artists whose work continues to inspire the next generation of storytellers.
1. Founded in 1978 by Golden Globes Executive Maureen Dragone, the Young Artist Academy™ is committed to year-round entertainment education – protecting and mentoring young performers. The nonprofit organization produces Hollywood's first and longest-running youth entertainment awards.
