All Major Rock Music Releases Arriving in August 2026

New albums from members of Heart, Genesis and Marillion lead the lineup of August 2026 rock releases. Meanwhile, John Fogerty broadens his top-selling solo project, and Kiss revisits a classic live performance from the 1970s.
Ann Wilson plans to release the nine-song Consecrated Ground, her second studio collaboration with her solo band Tripsitter. She has been touring with a Q&A format to promote the documentary In My Voice.
Fogerty's 1985 multiplatinum chart-topper Centerfield gets expanded with live versions of the title track, "Rock and Roll Girls" and the Top 10 hit "Old Man Down the Road," all recorded with his family band.
Which Rock Albums Are Coming Out in August 2026?
Steve Hackett and Steve Rothery's forthcoming album draws inspiration from the coastal English town where Rothery spent his childhood. Rothery, Marillion's founding guitarist, and Hackett, who played in Genesis from 1971 to 1976—a period bookended by the U.K. Top 40 hit Nursery Cryme and the gold-certified Wind and Wuthering—collaborated on the project.
Kiss Destroys Anaheim '76 will finally capture a massive stadium show that Peter Criss once described as his favorite Kiss concert ever. Alive! producer Eddie Kramer returned to mix this release from his original multitrack recordings.
