HIP Video Promo Presents: ALONZO DECLARES “I AM WORTHY OF LOVE” IN CINEMATIC NEW VIDEO “WORTHY”

Los Angeles vocalist, composer, and performer ALONZO unveils the official music clip for “WORTHY,” a voice-driven anthem centered on understanding what people deserve and declining to sacrifice their identity for the sake of love.

Merging rock, pop, soul, and cinematic narrative, “WORTHY” marks the inaugural visual installment of a broader creative phase for ALONZO. The official music movie is set to “WORTHY (Live),” with the live rendition crafted by Nathaniel W. James.

THE NARRATIVE BEHIND “WORTHY”

“I composed ‘WORTHY’ during a period when my heart was just starting to reopen after being shut for quite some time. The refrain arrived effortlessly and with clarity: ‘I am worthy of love.’ It felt less like a deliberate composition and more like an affirmation I needed to recall for myself.”

Penned by ALONZO and overseen by Quincy Holland, “WORTHY” transforms self-respect into an anthem. Throughout the track, ALONZO demands action, reliability, trust, and respect while confronting the gap between hearing someone profess love and witnessing behavior that proves it. At its core stands the straightforward assertion, “I am worthy of love.” What started as a personal mantra evolved into something grander, a universal reminder that love should never demand a person to give up their true self.

THE FORMAL MUSIC CLIP

Helmed by José “Hollywood” Ramos and shot against the wide-open terrain of Lancaster, California, the “WORTHY” video reinterprets the song as a ceremonial assertion of self-value. Instead of adhering to a conventional plot, the movie unfolds as a rite, anchored in nature, amplified by style, and communicated through bearing. It weaves together Afrocentric futurism, high-fashion editorial imagery, and natural scenery to forge a visual universe that feels majestic, timeless, and deliberate.

The film serves as an homage to women of color, with Black women occupying its emotional and visual nucleus. Through stillness, arrangement, motion, and direct gaze, they are not relegated to background roles but stand as the visual’s soul. The journey starts with ceremonial restraint and gradually builds into an explosive dance number. By the finale, “I am worthy of love” is no longer framed as a question or fleeting emotion. It has crystallized into a lasting truth.

Created autonomously and entirely self-funded by ALONZO, the video mirrors the magnitude of his ambition and his dedication to delivering substantive work without sacrificing its artistic integrity.
