Reachel Singh Transforms an Age-Old Vedic Mantra into a Contemporary Meditation on New Track “Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha”
Reachel Singh is an uncommon artist, as her daily existence is inseparable from the sound she creates. In a society built on constant stimulation, she has opted for a life grounded in spiritual discipline, acute awareness, and the quiet signals most people overlook. Through mantra, melody, and vocal healing, Singh provides audiences with a chance to decelerate and listen inwardly. Raised between Indian ancestry and Dutch upbringing, Singh refined her approach via teaching, travel, songwriting, and exploring sound healing along with spiritual traditions from both East and West. Her history as an educator remains evident in the way she delivers music—she leads without forcing results, leaving listeners free to sing, rest, meditate, or just hear.
This perspective unites her with OMMM, an organization focused on spiritual healing, conscious living, and moving away from routines that keep people overstimulated. The same philosophy flows through Singh’s music, which starts from emotion rather than explanation.
“Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha” is Singh’s musical rendering of the ancient Vedic mantra, shaped into a soft, unhurried sonic atmosphere. Her voice sits high in the mix, clear and intimate, keeping the chant immediate. Gentle hand percussion settles into a down-tempo beat that invites a slight head nod without breaking the meditative quality. Electric guitar notes enter sparingly as the arrangement grows, adding color while leaving her voice at the center. Singh chose this mantra to lead this chapter because of the protective energy she connects with it. She calls the chant a “washing machine for thoughts,” a simple description of how repetition can interrupt mental loops and open space for emotional release. The song builds without chasing a dramatic peak, letting voice, percussion, and guitar gradually deepen the mood.
The single is part of a larger project Singh has spent three years building with Vinay, whom she calls her “soul music brother.” Most of the upcoming album was written, produced, and recorded by the pair. Some sessions began with songs Singh had already written; others grew from music Vinay had stored on his computer. Ten tracks are now ready to be released over the coming months with support from OMMM. Singh’s Earth Day 2026 appearance in Times Square, where she performed “Kintsugi,” offered an early preview of the album. Following “Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha,” “Gayatri Mantra” kicks off the rollout of the broader project. After three years of work, Singh and Vinay are ready to share it one song at a time.
Filmed in and around New York’s Central Park on April 23rd, 2026, the day after the 57th annual Earth Day, the video began without a set plan. Singh and director Bruno Calvis had a few free hours that morning, and rather than let the time pass, Singh suggested they create something. That spontaneity carries through the finished piece as she moves through peaceful settings, including under a lovely tree and along a quiet side street. Singh appears radiant and completely at ease, with a natural beauty and calm presence that hold the frame. The measured pacing and simplicity of the surroundings make the video a fitting companion to the meditative pull of “Gayatri Mantra,” giving the song room to fully breathe.
