For fans of intimate, story-driven music, this Sunday offers a rare chance to hear a deeply personal album performed in a close-knit setting. Brazilian-born, New York–based singer-songwriter Karina Louzada is marking the release of her deluxe edition with a live show that promises to be as much about the stories behind the songs as the songs themselves.
NEW YORK, NY — November 6, 2026 — Brazilian-born, New York–based singer-songwriter Karina Louzada will celebrate the release of 9 Steps to Heal a Broken Heart — Deluxe Edition with an intimate concert on Sunday, November 8, at Berimbau Second Floor in Manhattan.
Louzada’s music weaves heartfelt melodies with poetic storytelling, diving into the nuances of love and the emotional threads that bind us all. Her debut album, 9 Steps to Heal a Broken Heart, is structured as a nine-chapter arc that moves from the pain of heartbreak through forgiveness and self-discovery, ultimately arriving at a renewed willingness to love again.
Also worth a look: MPTF turns personal despair into defiant rock anthem on ‘Why Do We Fall Down’ and Gabby B drops playful Brazilian funk single ‘É Gostosin’ with São Paulo producers.
Under the musical direction of Cândida Borges, the evening will feature stripped-down live arrangements alongside personal reflections on the origins of each composition, bringing the album’s narrative journey to life on stage.
“I’m putting my heart and soul into every detail of this concert,” says Louzada. “I want it to be a truly special experience for everyone who will be in that room.”
The Deluxe Edition expands the original album with two new songs and a newly recorded and remastered version of Breathe. The project also includes a limited-edition vinyl pressing.
Louzada’s debut album features production contributions from Rob Wells, known for his work with Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, and Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Jeff Franzel.
