Created to unite fans of the Pat McGee Band, Down The Hatch provides a singular opportunity for attendees to find fresh music, create lasting connections, and lose themselves in the pleasure of live shows. Many fans return annually to reunite with friends who share their musical passion, celebrating both up-and-coming acts and veteran performers.
Besides the Pat McGee Band, this year’s roster boasts a remarkable group of artists: Carbon Leaf, Red Wanting Blue, Stephen Kellogg, Shawn Mullins, Howie Day, The Back Burners featuring Danny Kortchmar, Paul Pfau, Chris Trapper, Carrie Brockwell, Dan Mills, Todd Carey, Anna Daley Young, Jason Adamo, Reeve Coobs, Jake Thistle, Chuck Cannon, Meaghan Farrell, Luke Brindley, and late-night entertainment from Headphone Disco.

Over the course of four days and nights—or five if you stay for Pat’s “DTH Wine Down” on Sunday, June 6, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM—guests are invited to relax by the shore, swim in the ocean, take in the natural beauty of OBX, and socialize with all the performers.
Attendees can appreciate intimate sets from some of the nation’s finest artists while kicking back in beach chairs with coolers in reach. Shows are scheduled throughout the day so no two performances overlap. Picture musicians playing with their feet in the sand, fostering a relaxed environment where creativity thrives. The event spans everything from full-scale rock concerts in the evening to intimate songwriter-in-the-round circles and spontaneous collaborations among peers.
“For anyone who wants to stay an extra day, the Wine Down is about as relaxed as it gets,” McGee explains. “It’s the OBX version of hanging out at my place for an exclusive afterparty, complete with your beverage of choice and appetizers prepared by me and my crew. It’s a unique day to get together with a small group of DTHers, enjoy stunning scenery, and enjoy some acoustic songs.”
A limited number of tickets are currently available for Down The Hatch 2027. The event is predicted to sell out fast, given that last year’s attendees purchased more than 150 advance tickets.
