CLIFTON PARK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Alternative rock singer-songwriter and recording artist Michael Dillenger announces the worldwide release of his latest single, “Crimson Pill,” released today on all major streaming platforms October 23, 2026. The release will be followed by an official music video premiering on VEVO and YouTube on October 31, Halloween, a date that also commemorates the anniversary of Dillenger’s 2024 debut solo release, Revenant.

Represented by Norwalk, Connecticut-based Pilot Light Records, Dillenger is carving out his own place in the alternative rock landscape with a sound and artistic vision that blend dark, poetic storytelling, emotionally charged music, and theatrical imagery inspired by fantasy, science fiction, and the macabre.

After spending years performing in bands, Dillenger launched his solo career in 2024 with Revenant, a song inspired by the concept of returning from death, whether literal or metaphorical, with unfinished business and an unrelenting determination to see it through. That central theme of resilience, transformation, and rebirth has become a defining thread throughout his evolving musical identity.

With Crimson Pill, Dillenger continues that journey, exploring the darker boundaries of human consciousness, identity, and the struggle for control in a world increasingly shaped by technology, illusion, and psychological conflict. The new single ventures into themes of cyber-psychosis and altered reality, combining provocative imagery with the intensity and emotional weight of modern alternative rock.

"The inspiration of the song was about easy it is lose control of yourself in this insanely technological world. To get so lost that it's hard to come back. Sometimes no matter how far you fall, no pill can bring you out of the darkness," said Dillenger

The studio recording of Crimson Pill brings together an accomplished lineup of rock musicians, including Nik Hughes on drums, known for his work with internationally acclaimed rock band BUSH, alongside Joel Kelley on electric guitar and James Cruz on bass, both members of the band Edisun. Recorded at Factory Underground Studio in Norwalk, Connecticut, the track was co-produced by Ethan Isaac and Tom Stewart, with Stewart also serving as recording engineer. Final mastering was handled by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Alex Psaroudakis, whose credits include work with Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, and Amy Grant.

The accompanying music video further expands Dillenger’s creative universe, bringing the song’s dystopian themes to life through a visually striking, live performance. Produced by Pilot Light Records, the video was filmed in Norwalk, Connecticut, and directed, shot, and edited by Marc Alan, with Keith Alan serving as Assistant Producer. The video features Cody Bowen on electric guitar, Jonathan Feliciano on drums, and Michael Feliciano on bass. Jonathan and Michael are the sons of GRAMMY Award-winning music legend José Feliciano.

Beyond his music, Dillenger has developed an imaginative world of original characters, mythology, and visual storytelling. His creative identity extends into cosplay and "Original Character" design, including three distinct personas that he portrays on TikTok: White Helix, Shadow from the Onyx Box, and Carnavale. Each represents another dimension of his artistic expression, connecting his music with the worlds of fantasy, character-driven storytelling, and alternative culture.

Rather than approaching music as a collection of standalone songs, Dillenger is building an interconnected creative universe where sound, imagery, identity, and character development contribute to a larger artistic narrative.

“Crimson Pill” will be available worldwide on October 23, 2026, on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and other major digital streaming platforms.

The official “Crimson Pill” music video premieres October 31, 2026, on VEVO and YouTube.
