Established in Houston, Texas back in 1980, La Mafia ranks among the most impactful and accomplished groups in Tejano and Latin music history. Fronted by vocalist Oscar De La Rosa and producer/accordionist Armando Lichtenberger Jr., the band helped shape the modern Tejano style by mixing classic regional Mexican music, cumbia, and contemporary elements. Over their decades-long career, La Mafia has attracted a devoted global fanbase through extensive tours across Mexico, Latin America, and the United States.
La Mafia is a five-time Grammy Award-winning group and has also collected multiple Latin Grammy Awards during their career. Their Grammy wins include the albums Un Millón de Rosas and En Tus Manos, while Latin Grammy honors went to Para El Pueblo, Nuevamente, and Live in Mexico.
