Advertisers who rely on AI assistants to plan their next move can now act on those conversations without leaving the chat window.
Sound.me, the marketplace connecting artists, labels, and brands with creators for short-video promotions, has rolled out a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that links ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor directly to a user’s Sound.me account. The integration lets advertisers scope out a campaign, set it in motion, and monitor its performance using everyday language.

Artists, labels and brands can manage short-video creator campaigns through ChatGPT and Claude within spending limits they set.

MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants tap into external services. Once the connection is established, an assistant can pull up a sound from a TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube link, estimate what a given budget would yield, kick off the campaign, and report live metrics: creators, videos, views, likes, comments, and shares. The projection mirrors what Sound.me’s own campaign builder displays.
For example, an advertiser could type, “What would $500 get me for this TikTok sound?”, follow up with “Launch that campaign in the United States for 7 days,” and later ask, “How are my campaigns doing so far?”
“Planning a campaign is mostly questions: what a budget will deliver, where to run it and for how long,” said Alex Akimov. “Our customers already ask their assistant those questions. Now the assistant can answer with real numbers from their own account, and launch the campaign when they say yes.”
Control remains firmly in the advertiser’s hands. The integration activates only after the user signs in on Sound.me and gives explicit approval. Spending caps are configured at that point—per campaign, per day, and per month—with minimums of $500, $1,000, and $3,000 respectively. The assistant is programmed to display the exact charge and wait for a green light before any purchase, and access can be revoked anytime from the Sound.me dashboard. Sound.me’s moderation team continues to review every video to ensure creators stick to the advertiser’s instructions.
The feature is live now for Sound.me advertiser accounts. Setup guides for ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor are available at https://sound.me/mcp. Other assistants supporting remote MCP servers with sign-in can use the same server address, https://mcp.soundme.com/mcp.

Why it matters: This integration signals a broader shift toward conversational commerce, where complex advertising tasks become as simple as chatting with an assistant. By embedding campaign management into tools advertisers already use daily, Sound.me is lowering the barrier to entry for short-video promotion—potentially opening the door for smaller budgets to compete in a space once dominated by large media buys.
