Tour honors three decades of the cherished Christmas album
The Music of Christmas Tour by Steven Curtis Chapman is set to make a comeback during the 2026 holiday season, stopping in 11 cities nationwide and marking 30 years of the timeless album that has become a seasonal tradition for generations of listeners.
Attendees can look forward to a night packed with beloved tunes spanning the years: classic Christmas standards, fan favorites from Chapman’s holiday recordings, and some of the most iconic hits from his celebrated career. Enhanced by strings and a choir, the music will achieve a fuller, more vibrant texture, ensuring an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.
“I am incredibly excited to continue celebrating the 30th anniversary of my album The Music of Christmas,” Chapman remarked. "Together, we will celebrate the true reason for the season. I’ll have some very talented musicians with me, as well as a full choir, and some other surprises I can’t wait to share with you. I’ve had many people tell me how they’ve appreciated this album over the years and how it’s become a part of their Christmas traditions, and I hope this tour can be a special way to celebrate yours!"
For Chapman, however, the tour goes beyond simply honoring Christmas music. It provides a chance to pause the holiday frenzy, gather with the people who matter most, and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
Guests can anticipate an evening brimming with music, well-known carols, and ample chances to join in singing, all while forging fresh memories with family and friends. Central to the event is the commemoration of Jesus’ birth and the hope and joy that characterize the Christmas season.
