Produced by the same team behind the worldwide hit Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert, this brand-new live orchestral show will make stops in over 20 cities beginning January 2027

“Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music, and allows audiences to experience the story in a completely different way.”— Emmy® Award-winning composer Jeremy ZuckermanNEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, July 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — On the heels of the global triumph of Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert, Paramount, GEA Live, and Senbla have revealed The Legend of Korra In Concert, a fresh live-to-picture orchestral event bringing the celebrated animated series to the stage through a fusion of live music and cinema-quality visuals. The U.S. leg, covering more than 20 cities, kicks off in Omaha on January 10, 2027, running alongside a European stretch of 10 cities that starts January 31. This tour marks the 15th anniversary of The Legend of Korra, which first aired on Nickelodeon in 2012. The news comes just before next week’s San Diego Comic-Con. Ticket sales begin Friday, July 17, and can be purchased at www.legendofkorrainconcert.com.

The Legend of Korra In Concert is the work of the creators behind the global touring successes Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert and Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert – The 20th Anniversary Tour, which together have moved over half a million tickets in more than 25 nations, cementing the franchise as one of the most successful animated concert tours performed live-to-film worldwide.

This new production lets fans immerse themselves in Korra’s universe through a live symphonic presentation synced with high-definition projections of key series moments arranged in chronological order. The show merges the narrative’s high-energy action and emotional depth with a musical score that draws from classical orchestration as well as jazz, electronic, and global music traditions. Emmy® Award-winning composer Jeremy Zuckerman’s boundary-crossing compositions capture the series’ more contemporary setting and layered themes. Exclusive tour merchandise will be available for purchase only at performance venues.

“The music of The Legend of Korra explores a very different emotional and musical landscape than Avatar: The Last Airbender, blending orchestral, jazz, and electronic influences to reflect Korra’s more modern world,” Zuckerman stated. “Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music, and allows audiences to experience the story in a completely different way.”

“Seeing the global response to Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert has been incredibly rewarding. The connection audiences have with this music and these stories is something you can feel in the room,” remarked Floris Douwes, Producer and Managing Director at GEA Live, and Ollie Rosenblatt, CEO at Senbla. “That experience made it clear there was a real appetite for more, and The Legend of Korra In Concert felt like the natural next step. There is strong crossover appeal with the Avatar franchise yet, it has its own tone and musical identity.”

“As the Avatar Legends universe continues to evolve, we’re focused on creating experiences that are as bold and immersive as the stories themselves,” said Marie Marks, SVP, Head of Global Experiences, Paramount. “The Legend of Korra In Concert invites fans to step inside Korra’s world through powerful live music, bringing the story off the screen and into a dynamic, unforgettable adventure for audiences around the world.”

Ever since its debut, The Legend of Korra has stayed a beloved entry in the Avatar Legends universe, broadening the franchise with fresh characters and richer mythology. With worldwide enthusiasm for the Avatar franchise reignited by Avatar Studios’ upcoming animated ventures—including Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender streaming on Paramount+ starting July 25, and Avatar: Seven Havens—The Legend of Korra In Concert arrives to ride a fresh wave of excitement and nostalgia.

The Legend of Korra charts the path of a formidable young hero who can bend all four elements, as she travels to a vibrant city to begin her airbending training and defend it from crime and a growing insurrection. Taking place 70 years after Avatar: The Last Airbender, this action-packed series is available for streaming on Paramount+.

About The Legend of Korra
The Legend of Korra debuted in April 2012 on Nickelodeon and spanned four seasons (52 episodes). Created and executive produced by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the series has been translated into more than 25 languages for Nickelodeon-branded channels worldwide. This epic narrative, set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender 70 years later, follows Avatar Korra, a 17-year-old determined to live up to the legacy of her predecessor Avatar Aang while harnessing her command of all four elements to tackle political and spiritual turmoil in a rapidly modernizing society.

The franchise has grown into a thriving ongoing graphic novel series. The first graphic novel storyline, Legend of Korra: Turf Wars, written by DiMartino, secured multiple top 10 sales spots in children’s fiction, YA science fiction, and graphic novel categories. In 2025, The Legend of Korra took center stage as the focus of Season 4 of the Signal Award-winning podcast Avatar: Braving the Elements.
