TOKYO, JAPAN — August 12, 2026 — EINPresswire.com reports that The World Is Dancing, which has been streaming since June 29 for HIDIVE subscribers across the U.S., Canada, and key overseas territories including Australia and New Zealand, has now released the synopsis, next episode preview, and advance cuts for Episode Ⅶ.
This anime takes place during a chaotic era marked by endless warfare. Its protagonist is the exceptionally inquisitive and lovely boy Oniyasha (voice: Yumiri Hanamori), who encounters others, experiences joy and sorrow, faces his own shortcomings, and gradually forges a new style of dance in a fleeting world. The series is a “dance story” that stretches across six centuries, imagining what might have occurred when the future founder of Noh—Zeami—was still known by the name Oniyasha.
Animation studio Cypic (Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, The Summer Hikaru Died) is handling production. The director is Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, whose credits include the TV anime The Great Passage, the animated film Love Me, Love Me Not, and both the television and theatrical versions of the Backflip!! series.
The show recently earned a Special Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival, drawing considerable acclaim for its remarkable quality.

STORY:
In 1374, amid the turmoil of the Northern and Southern Courts’ long running conflict, a boy named Oniyasha is born into a family of sarugaku theater performers. He spends his days in a kind of quiet gloom, haunted by a simple but persistent question: Why do people dance? Then, one day, he witnesses a dance that he feels to be “good”—and everything begins to change.
