On the previous evening, Hellbilly Hollow made its way to Hollywood, and the Sunset Strip in LA experienced its initial taste of carnage as horror enthusiasts filled the special advance premiere, howling, applauding, and rejoicing. The Southern‑style slasher “Hellbilly Hollow” launches today, Friday, September 25, in a limited number of U.S. theaters. “Hellbilly Hollow” marks the very first motion picture to be filmed at the famed Alabama haunted destination that bears the same name, bringing one of the South’s most recognized spooky spots to cinema screens. For years, visitors have journeyed to Vincent, Alabama to confront its haunted barn, backwoods hayride, and scare zones. Now the attraction that numerous fans already know possesses its own film, captured entirely on its property. In the story, a group of paranormal YouTubers arrives to record footage the evening before Halloween and discovers the terror is genuine. Sibling killers Tickles and Bull lie in wait, and they don’t adhere to haunt guidelines.

In “Hellbilly Hollow,” a crew of paranormal YouTubers journeys to the Alabama wilderness to shoot footage at a haunted attraction the evening prior to Halloween. What they encounter there is far more lethal than artificial frights. Tickles is a deformed, childlike clown, and Bull is the controlling brother who cares for him. One after another, the investigators plus a cluster of local adrenaline seekers succumb to the siblings’ games.
Actor/Director Kevin Wayne conceived the notion while filming a commercial at Hellbilly Hollow. As he walked the grounds, he imagined a figure pursuing victims through the haunt’s backwoods, and the motion picture evolved from that vision. Instead of recreating the attraction on a soundstage, the production shot at the actual location. Fans who have screamed their way through the barn and hayride will recognize every nook. Viewers who have never visited get their initial glimpse of the site that has terrified Alabama visitors for many years.
The film stars Kurt Deimer, Kevin Wayne, Danny Vinson, Sandra Ellis Lafferty, Megan Alexandrea Weaver, Hallie Shepherd, Trey Miller and Keller Fornes. Director of photography is David Brower, and the original score is by Roy Mayorga. The executive producers are Michael T. Clarke, Mike Denard, Andy Gould, David Miller, Tim Miller, James Srygley, Kevin Wayne and Brandon Evans. The film was produced by Kurt Deimer and Todd Slater, written by Bernadette Chapman, and directed by Kevin Wayne.
