Atlanta’s fall sports calendar is packed, and one Castleberry Hill brewery is positioning itself as the neighborhood hub for fans, alumni groups and holiday gatherings alike. Atlantucky Brewing, the Black-owned taproom co-founded by Nappy Roots’ Fish Scales and Skinny DeVille, has rolled out a slate of events designed to keep the space busy from kickoff to the holiday season.

Castleberry Hill brewery offers a home base for sports fans, alumni groups, private events and a growing calendar of things to do in Atlanta

Sitting at 170 Northside Drive SW, Suite 96, just a short walk from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlantucky has already hosted watch parties for Atlanta United, the Falcons, Monday Night Football and this summer’s World Cup. The venue has also become a gathering spot for alumni groups, live music nights, trivia and other community-driven activities.

Now that the Hawks have tipped off their regular season and football is in full swing, the brewery is expanding its game-day offerings. Food and drink specials are being paired with matchups, and new events are being added to the calendar throughout the month. Beyond public programming, the taproom is available for private bookings — think birthday parties, business get-togethers, alumni meetups and private watch parties.

“We’ve had people come in for a game or an event and then ask about bringing their own group back, and we love that,” said Fish Scales, co-founder of Atlantucky Brewing. “We want Atlantucky to be a place where you can catch a game, celebrate a birthday or get your alumni group together. And if you’re just looking for something to do, follow us on social media. We’re always adding to the lineup.”

Why it matters: As Atlanta’s sports and holiday seasons converge, Atlantucky is carving out a niche as a neighborhood gathering spot that goes beyond the typical brewery experience. Its mix of public watch parties and private event space gives locals a flexible venue that builds community around shared interests — and it’s a reminder that the city’s cultural anchors are increasingly found in its taprooms.
