Irish alternative-rock artist Jennifer Leigh gains momentum ahead of her debut album, Art Martyr, after a sold-out Viper Room debut that drew a crowd of notable attendees.
“You’re not letting playing with Green Day be your biggest moment.”— Tré Cool of Green Day to Jennifer Leigh before her debut performance
Irish alternative-rock musician and emerging Hollywood talent Jennifer Leigh is quickly making a name for herself as one of Los Angeles’ most exciting new rock acts, following a sold-out headline debut at the historic Viper Room and a subsequent performance at the legendary Troubadour.
Organized by Kelly McGarry in partnership with Doheny Entertainment, Jennifer’s sold-out Viper Room show marked her official first live appearance as a solo artist. It offered audiences a glimpse into the initial phase of her upcoming alternative-rock and grunge record, Art Martyr.
In front of a full house, Jennifer delivered emotionally intense songwriting, strong vocals, and a guitar-focused sound that draws from alternative rock, grunge, and punk. The event drew a notable assembly of musicians, actors, and entertainment insiders, among them Gene Gallagher alongside his band Villanelle, Tara Reid (American Pie), Estevan Oriol (LA Originals), Eve Mauro (A Working Man), Charlotte McKinney (Baywatch), Rob Weiss (Entourage), Mike Kroeger of Nickelback, social media personality Jonathan Peter, DeVaughn Nixon (The Bodyguard), and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend Rigan Machado, plus many other celebrities.
The evening was captured by acclaimed Los Angeles photographers Estevan Oriol, Tyler Curtis (Tyliner), and Ian Passmore.
Jennifer performed with a skilled live band that included Robin Diaz, who currently drums for Puddle of Mudd and has toured and performed with Courtney Love, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Chris Cornell. Lead guitarist Aaron Cappucci contributed a signature ’90s grunge-inspired guitar sound that helped define the mood of Jennifer’s live set, while bassist Jed Mottley anchored the group’s powerful sound with a driving, energetic performance.
Jennifer’s path in music started well before her move to Los Angeles. She first picked up the guitar at age four and later earned a musical scholarship at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, where she trained from 2015 to 2020.
At only 14 years old, Jennifer performed alongside Green Day in Dublin in front of more than 20,000 people. Prior to her Viper Room debut, Green Day drummer Tré Cool reflected on that achievement, telling her:
“You’re not letting playing with Green Day be your biggest moment.”
Those words became a defining reminder that her early success was just the start.
Now based in Los Angeles, Jennifer is forging a unique voice in modern alternative rock. Her debut album, Art Martyr, delves into themes of identity, addiction, resilience, and self-discovery through raw storytelling, gritty guitar-driven production, and an uncompromising artistic approach.
After the enthusiastic reception of her sold-out Viper Room debut, Jennifer carried that momentum forward with a performance at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, marking appearances at two of Los Angeles’ most iconic rock venues as anticipation builds for the release of Art Martyr.
Alongside her music career, Jennifer has also made strides in film, with her Hollywood debut in the action movie Blow for Blow (2025), which premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre. She has since worked on several other films, including “CLAY,” a boxing action drama featuring Francesca Eastwood and Mike O’Hearn, while continuing her martial arts training under Master Rigan Machado.
With performances at two of Los Angeles’ most renowned music venues, increasing support from respected figures across music and entertainment, and her debut album Art Martyr on the way, Jennifer Leigh is rising as one of alternative rock’s most promising new talents.
