SEATTLE, WA, UNITED STATES, August 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Actress Laura Hunter has taken on her first lead role in a motion picture, playing the character Danielle in the horror film Ouija Hell House, from 7th Street Productions. This milestone arrives after more than two decades of part-time work spanning film, television, commercials, hosting, and live media.
In Ouija Hell House, a single mother portrayed by Hunter relocates with her daughters to her late grandmother’s farmhouse, seeking a new beginning. When the family uncovers an old Ouija board, increasingly unsettling events begin to occur, and a dark presence emerges that refuses to let them go.

Hunter’s previous film credits include The Death of Snow White, 2:59, Kill Craft, Friday the 13th Vengeance 2: Bloodlines, Nightmare on Elm Street/Up All Night, Conversion, Between Night, Timetravel_0, and Bloody Mary. Her work has ranged across horror, drama, character roles, and supporting parts, gradually preparing her for the demands of headlining a feature.
Her television credits include The Blox, where she was named “Most Investable,” the competition series 4 Days to Save the World, which she won, Food Network’s Food Wars, Lifetime’s Outlaw Profit, TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras, HGTV’s What’s Up with That House, and international programs in Germany and Japan. She also hosted 10 episodes of The Home Show.
Her commercial experience includes national and regional campaigns for Mega Bloks, Paula’s Choice, Mattress Firm, Sleep Train, and other well-known brands.
Though Hunter’s career grew outside the conventional full-time Hollywood path, she stayed dedicated to performing and refining her skills. Her journey reflects the determination of working actors who gather experience one role at a time, often over many years, before earning the chance to lead a film.
