Season 2 of Dupont Investigations, Flight of the Fallen, launches tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, streaming everywhere you listen to podcasts. Following a debut season that earned a spotlight from Washingtonian, Nocturne Hall revisits its 1936 Washington, the “District of Crime,” with a darker, more ambitious mystery.
In Flight of the Fallen, occult private eye Torsten Somersby is hired by Christian Heurich, the renowned brewmaster who—after the federal government—was Washington’s largest employer. Something from the old world has followed into the new: a winged creature whose origin traces back to the Austrian Alps in 1861. As it stalks the city, Torsten and his partner Nigel Clemmons follow its trail through the darkness of 1936 Washington, from Heurich’s Foggy Bottom brewery to the truth behind “the fallen.”
Those new to the series can begin tonight. Season 1, The Scourge from Carthage, spans six episodes and has surpassed 24,500 IAB Tech Lab-certified downloads. Dupont Investigations is the creation of Washington, DC-based co-creators and showrunners Marc Benjamin Langston (he/him) and Bryce Bowyn (he/him). Langston works as a long-form writer and an attorney. Bryce Bowyn is an electropop musician and an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health. Both creators are DC Arts and Humanities Fellows, honored for their standout contributions to DC as a world-class cultural capital—Langston for his fiction, Bowyn for his popular music.
