Our mission has consistently focused on crafting a gathering that unites people, highlights our community, boosts local enterprises, and contributes to groups that create a real impact every day.”— Derek Waggoner, founder of America's Mountain FestivalWOODLAND PARK, CO, UNITED STATES, July 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Wednesday morning, organizers of the America's Mountain Festival convened in the River Room at Tava House to advance one of the event's core purposes—returning benefits to the community—by delivering proceeds from this year's gathering to a pair of local nonprofit groups while honoring three key sponsors for their exceptional backing.
Officials from Rifle 2 Reins received a $10,500 contribution funded by a share of ticket revenue from the second annual America's Mountain Festival. The Northeast Teller County Fire Protection District (NETCO), which also gained festival proceeds in 2025, was awarded a larger donation of $3,000 this year in acknowledgment of its ongoing dedication to serving the area.
These contributions underscore the festival's pledge to back organizations that improve the region and aid its inhabitants. Since its launch, America's Mountain Festival has directed $16,500 to local nonprofit groups through revenue derived from event ticket sales, reinforcing its dedication to supporting the community it serves.
Additionally, the event recognized three major festival sponsors—Park State Bank & Trust, Charis Bible College, and Teller WiFi—by presenting them with commemorative guitars personally signed by this year's lineup of performers, which featured headliner Aaron Watson, Jenna Paulette, Walker Montgomery, Tyce Delk, Matt Skinner Band, and America’s Mountain Festival Songwriters' Competition winner Kenya Reese.

Coffee and donuts were provided during the morning gathering, which united festival organizers, sponsors, nonprofit heads, volunteers, and community allies to commemorate the festival's achievements and the partnerships that enabled them.
"Right from the start, America's Mountain Festival was conceived as something far bigger than just a concert," stated Derek Waggoner, founder of America's Mountain Festival. "Our objective has always been to produce an event that unites people, displays our community, strengthens local shops, and repays organizations that make a daily difference. Today's check handouts serve as a reminder that collective effort benefits everyone."
Waggoner continued, "The backing we received from our sponsors, volunteers, performers, vendors, and the thousands who attended made this year's festival possible. Those guitars represent our gratitude, but the true achievement is what we all accomplished together for Woodland Park and the wider area."
Festival Director Heather Burrows stated that the second annual event outperformed expectations across multiple important metrics.
"We're incredibly proud of what was achieved in just our second year," Burrows remarked. "We saw higher attendance, improved ticket revenue, a greater number of vendors, broader community involvement, and overwhelmingly favorable reactions from attendees. Those outcomes show that America's Mountain Festival is evolving into one of Colorado's top summer events while staying faithful to its local character."
Makayla Richardson, speaking for Park State Bank & Trust, noted that the acknowledgment carried special weight because of the bank's strong connection to the area. “We are deeply honored to receive this recognition and are proud to stand behind America’s Mountain Festival. At PSB&T, we view events like this as the heart of our community — uniting families, building lasting relationships, and injecting vitality into our downtown. We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to support experiences that strengthen the places we call home and enhance the lives of those we serve.”
Organizers are still analyzing attendance figures, economic influence, and marketing data as part of a complete post-event evaluation. Early signs indicate substantial growth in visitor participation, online presence, regional involvement, turnout, revenue from tickets, sponsorships, and vendor engagement relative to the first festival.
Preparations for the 2027 America's Mountain Festival are already moving forward, with organizers dedicated to expanding on this year's momentum while maintaining the event's purpose of honoring mountain culture, assisting local nonprofits, and delivering an unforgettable experience for both locals and tourists.
