You’re Now About to Witness… is not merely a first album. It stands as a declaration from an artist who refused to give up when the industry turned away from substance. The project comes out via Compass 120 Entertainment, an independent label run by Doc Martin, Casablanca’s longtime friend and business partner. Their relationship dates back to Buffalo’s hip hop scene in the late 1990s, where music, trust, and a shared vision first united them. Years later, that connection helped revive Compass 120 Entertainment and breathed new life into the Grown Man Music movement.
Production on the album comes from Scottzilla (UK), Em.Asaint (Germany), and V Don (Harlem, NY), giving the record a global yet distinctly East Coast feel. The beats are cinematic, layered, and tailored to Casablanca’s measured flow and vivid storytelling.
In addition, the album features notable collaborations with fellow Buffalo wordsmith Che Noir and Rochester MC Eto, creating strong Upstate New York moments that link regional authenticity to a wider underground hip hop audience.
