Reachel Singh Transforms an Age-Old Vedic Chant Into a Contemporary Meditation Through Her Latest Track "Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha"

Reachel Singh stands apart as an artist whose daily existence is inseparable from her creative output. In an environment built on constant interruption, she has deliberately embraced a path centered on spiritual discipline, focused awareness, and the subtle signals that are often dismissed. By weaving together mantra, melody, and vocal healing, Singh invites listeners to slow their pace and turn their focus inward. Growing up with roots in both Indian traditions and Dutch culture, she cultivated her craft through teaching, traveling, composing, and exploring sound therapy along with spiritual teachings from Eastern and Western sources. Her history as a teacher continues to influence how she delivers music—she guides without imposing, letting people choose to sing, rest, meditate, or just listen.
This philosophy aligns her with OMMM, whose mission emphasizes spiritual restoration, mindful living, and breaking free from habits that fuel overstimulation. The same ethos permeates Singh’s work, which prioritizes emotion over explanation.
With “Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha,” Singh offers her personal take on the ancient Vedic mantra, crafting it into a soft, unhurried sonic atmosphere. Her vocals remain prominent in the mix—clear and intimate—keeping the chant immediate. Gentle hand percussion establishes a slow, steady beat that invites a subtle sway without disrupting the track’s meditative nature. Electric guitar notes appear sparingly as the arrangement grows, adding texture while keeping her voice at the forefront. Singh selected this mantra to open this phase of her journey because of the protective energy she links to it. She describes the chant as a “washing machine for thoughts,” a straightforward way of explaining how repetition can break patterns of rumination and create space for emotional release. The song develops without pursuing a climactic moment, letting voice, percussion, and guitar slowly deepen the mood.
This single forms part of a broader project that Singh has spent three years crafting alongside Vinay, whom she refers to as her “soul music brother.” The duo wrote, produced, and recorded most of the upcoming album. Some sessions began with songs Singh had already composed; others emerged from music Vinay had stored on his computer. Ten tracks are now set for release over the next several months, backed by OMMM. Singh’s Earth Day 2026 performance in Times Square, where she delivered “Kintsugi,” provided an early taste of the album. After “Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha,” “Gayatri Mantra” will launch the album’s phased rollout. Following three years of effort, Singh and Vinay are prepared to share the work one song at a time.
Shot in and around New York’s Central Park on April 23rd, 2026—the day after the 57th annual Earth Day—the video started without a concrete plan. Singh and director Bruno Calvis had a few free hours that morning, and instead of wasting the time, Singh suggested they create something. That spontaneous energy carries through the final piece as she moves through serene locations, including beneath a striking tree and along a quiet side street. Singh appears glowing and fully comfortable, with a natural grace and calm presence that command the frame. The unhurried pacing and uncluttered environment turn the video into a perfect match for the reflective draw of “Gayatri Mantra,” letting the track fully expand.
