Trade organization underscores education, advocacy, and tools accessible to members all year long.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is drawing attention to the ongoing advantages of its membership program as it reaches its 125th anniversary of serving the music products sector.

For an annual fee of $150, individual NAMM membership is available to professionals in music education, professional audio, entertainment technology, and live event production. The membership provides a pass to the NAMM Show, plus access to educational offerings, advocacy efforts, and industry resources that are available throughout the entire year, not just during the main event.

Education stands out as a key pillar of membership. Throughout the year, NAMM delivers webinars, workshops, and training programs aimed at helping members refine retail abilities, keep up with product trends, and manage the operational hurdles of running a music business. According to the organization, the 2026 NAMM Show featured 505 educational sessions that collectively drew more than 91,000 session engagements.

Advocacy represents another continuous membership benefit. NAMM represents the music products industry’s collective interests in front of lawmakers and regulators, tackling issues such as music education funding, tax policies, and trade regulations. The association notes that its advocacy efforts are designed to safeguard members’ businesses over the long haul.

Members also gain access to market data, service discounts, and a dedicated support team, in addition to connections within a global network of professionals. NAMM’s 2026 Post Show Report indicated that the most recent NAMM Show attracted over 60,000 attendees, representing a combined purchasing power of $9.8 billion, with participation from more than 5,400 brands and 1,650 exhibitors.

“NAMM is more than a show, it’s an ecosystem where our industry showcases every sector and comes together to connect, learn, and move forward collectively,” said Michael Kamphuis of Conn Selmer.

Individuals employed in music education, professional audio, entertainment technology, or live event production can submit a membership application through NAMM’s website. Employees of current NAMM member companies can reach out to their administrators to activate employee benefits. Artists are not currently eligible for individual membership, though they may register as qualified attendees for the NAMM Show.

NAMM stated that this milestone anniversary highlights a business model built on continuous, year-round interaction with members rather than being centered on a single annual event.
