Internet radio is a sea of scattered stations, each with its own name, app, and ad sales pitch. That fragmentation is exactly what two established streaming operators are betting they can eliminate by folding their combined assets into a single, genre-driven destination called Jukebox.media.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Thasis LLC and WebNetRadio have announced a merger of their operations into Jukebox Broadcasting LLC, a newly formed internet radio entity that will operate under the Jukebox.media name. The two companies will consolidate their existing streaming channels, technology infrastructure, and commercial operations into one genre-based service, retiring their separate consumer-facing station identities in favor of the unified Radio Jukebox brand.
Combined, the partners currently run close to 100 internet radio channels spanning smooth jazz, oldies, classic rock, easy listening, country, and other formats. Company-reported figures indicate the combined operations generate more than 15 million streaming sessions and over 1 million total listening hours annually.

The new jukebox listening experience is slated to arrive in early 2027. Live channels will be organized by genre, with planned categories including Jazz Jukebox, Oldies Jukebox, Classic Rock Jukebox, Country Jukebox, Easy Listening Jukebox, and others. Instead of picking a single station, listeners will be able to see what songs are playing across all available streams at any given moment and jump into the channel airing the track they want. The service is designed as live, programmed radio—not on-demand playback—and the companies say they will work with other streaming stations across the United States to expand the jukebox network.
“We see a chance to rethink internet radio around what listeners are looking for: music,” said David Moss, founder and CEO of Thasis. “We are bringing the stations together under one identity to make the music easier to discover and creating an advertising operation that can serve audiences across formats rather than sell each channel separately.”
WebNetRadio was founded by Doug Sinclair and is recognized for its smooth jazz programming, including Smooth Jazz Florida, which first hit the airwaves in 2013. Its website lists a network of more than 50 smooth jazz stations. Thasis, operational since 2022, runs music-format channels and syndicated programming through the Thasis Radio Network. Just last week, Thasis separately unveiled RadioForge, a suite of software and services aimed at independent broadcasters.
“Internet radio has grown tremendously, but the industry remains fragmented,” said Doug Sinclair, Managing Partner of Jukebox Broadcasting. “By bringing our networks together, we’re creating something much bigger than a collection of radio stations. Jukebox.media represents a new way for listeners to discover the music they love and a more powerful way for advertisers to reach those audiences. We’re combining great programming, innovative technology, and the scale needed to build something truly different.”
Advertising sits at the core of the consolidation strategy. Radio Jukebox intends to aggregate inventory across its genre-based listening service, featuring audio pre-roll advertisements at stream starts and coordinated display placements within its web and app experiences. The companies argue that a unified technology and sales platform will make their audience far more attractive to advertisers. The reported annual session-start figure is not a projection of sellable impressions—actual inventory will hinge on implementation, eligible listening sessions, and contractual agreements.
The rebranding will phase out the separate consumer-facing station identities in favor of the Radio Jukebox service. The underlying programmed streams will continue to supply music across the genre categories while a common interface and advertising infrastructure are built for Jukebox.media. More details on the rollout and how existing channels will be integrated are expected before launch.
In the lead-up to the early 2027 debut, Radio Jukebox plans to seek outside funding and explore strategic partnerships to support technology development, network integration, and expansion of its digital advertising capabilities. Potential partners could include companies in digital audio, advertising technology, and media distribution. No financing arrangements or strategic partnerships are being announced at this time.
Financial terms of the combination have not been disclosed. The jukebox interface is expected to launch in early 2027, following the announcement of the new company.
Why it matters: This merger is a bet that consolidation—not more niche stations—is the path forward for internet radio’s next growth phase. By pooling audiences and ad inventory under one brand, the companies are positioning themselves to compete more directly with larger streaming platforms while giving advertisers a simpler way to reach engaged music listeners.
