The reunited rock band announces its September 1 single, completing a song first written in 1992 and mixed by three-time GRAMMY-winning engineer Tom Lord-Alge.

This marks the group's second single, carrying forward a story the musicians once believed might remain incomplete.
Three-time GRAMMY winner Tom Lord-Alge, known for his work with U2, Dave Matthews Band, Blink-182, Santana, and Steve Winwood, handled the mixing on this newly finished track. His expertise brings a contemporary polish to a piece that originated during the band's formative creative period.
Featuring soaring guitar work, a cinematic atmosphere, and a powerful chorus, "Running Blind" merges Farline's traditional rock foundation with a current rock aesthetic. The track arrives on all major streaming services worldwide on September 1, accompanied by an official music video debuting at the same time. That video blends the band's performance with footage of aircraft to underscore the song's messages about determination, perseverance, and moving ahead despite doubt.
"When we found the original tapes, it felt like unfinished business," said guitarist Mike Wright. "Recording Running Blind wasn't just making a song, it was completing something we started decades earlier."
Drummer Rich Snowden recalls those early practice sessions as the bedrock of the band's artistic approach. "The early jam sessions were where we learned how to bring our ideas to life. I had notebooks full of lyrics and was constantly writing back then, while Mike was always bringing new riffs into rehearsal."
For co-writer Bryan Carmer, the song's revival demonstrates that certain concepts simply last. "At the time we weren't thinking about longevity, we were just creating. Looking back now, it's clear Running Blind stood the test of time, or we wouldn't be releasing it more than three decades later."
This new offering follows Farline's debut single, "Going Home," which unveiled the band's reunion narrative and garnered international radio play along with a steadily expanding streaming fanbase.
Fans can pre-save "Running Blind" now ahead of its September 1 release.
